Description

Four sacred directions. The Fouth Grade students at Byron- Bergen School wampum belt Honoring the Haudenosaunee as an Land Acknowledgement Wampum Belt. The Four Direction symbol incorporated the first letters (B-B) of the school aligned back to back BB. The central purple background is the Great White Pine and a symbol of the Evergrowing Tree – peace and harmony with the peoples and environment. The belt was designed in conjunction the students and was made by R. D. Hamell as a gift to the Byron-Bergen 4th Grades in 2015.
